The New ML Perspective
Artificial intelligence seems like a very complex thing packaged in a simple box. It's this magic concept of creating intelligence from something that otherwise wouldn't have any intelligence at all.

Raising Intelligence is a series about understanding Artificial Intelligence by looking at it from a different perspective: as something we teach, shape, and ultimately take responsibility for.
Instead of treating AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning as mysterious technologies that simply learn, this series goes back to the foundations. We explore where AI comes from, what actually makes a model "intelligent," how mathematics and programming give it the ability to learn, and how the data we provide shapes what it becomes.
From reframing ourselves as the teachers of AI, to exploring the birth of Artificial Intelligence, to seeing how data can teach a model the wrong thing, each episode breaks down a different part of the journey of creating intelligent systems.
Because building AI isn't only about making models that work.
It's about understanding what we're teaching them, what they're learning, and what happens when we get it wrong.
Raising Intelligence, teaching machines to learn, while learning how to teach them.
Artificial intelligence seems like a very complex thing packaged in a simple box. It's this magic concept of creating intelligence from something that otherwise wouldn't have any intelligence at all.

In my previous blog, I talked about how we are essentially becoming teachers to computers. We teach them patterns, give them examples, correct their mistakes, and hope that eventually they become good

What makes AI intelligent? What gives it the ability to actually make decisions that are intelligent? We talked about reframing the ML and AI perspective by looking at us, fellow AI engineers, and AI
